CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A second defendant has received a lengthy prison term in a case in which the state alleged sex crimes against a young child.

Virgil Lee Lamb Jr., 44, was sentenced to 5-25 years in prison for a sex crime against a child.

Virgil Lee Lamb Jr., 44, of Mount Clare, was sentenced Thursday to 5-25 years in prison, followed by 50 years of court-supervised release, for his crime.

Judge Thomas A. Bedell handed down prison terms to both defendants who molested a young girl, despite their recent efforts to reform. He cited the seriousness of the allegations, among other factors.
