CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — A 2,000-acre site in Jackson County will be the future home of a “renewable energy microgrid-powered industrial site” thanks to a planned $500 million investment by BHE Renewables.

The company, a Berkshire Hathaway Energy subsidiary, recently purchased the site from the West Virginia Economic Development Authority and announced plans to “bring additional businesses to the site to benefit from the prime manufacturing location and renewable energy infrastructure.”
