CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WV News) — West Virginia recorded an active COVID case count number under 2,000 for the fourth straight day, the first time the state has been able to do that since mid-May.

West Virginia reported three more deaths since the last report, pushing the total to 7,382 since COVID arrived in the Mountain State in March 2020. The state had 1,659 active cases and 461 new cases. The total case count is now 597,764.
