The home of the Chiefs turns 50 this year.

The team kicked off Arrowhead Stadium’s 50th anniversary with a thrilling 27-24 victory over AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers. The field was painted in the same way it was 50 years ago to honor the historic year, with an identical end zone and 50-yard-line logos.

The Chiefs have played 407 games at Arrowhead over the years. Our team at The Star wants to hear about important memories you’ve created at any of those games.

We’re gathering your favorite moments so we can compile a story of Kansas Citians’ greatest memories of Arrowhead.

Whether breaking a Guinness world record twice in back-to-back years, seeing the Chiefs hoist the Lamar Hunt trophy for the first time, Derrick Thomas’ 7-sack game or the time Phillip Rivers fumbled the snap on Halloween, Arrowhead Stadium’s played a part in generations of Chiefs’ fans lives. We want to hear about the times that have had the most lasting impact on you.

Perhaps your highlight is the friends you made outside the stadium while you were both tailgating before a big game, or popping the big question to your spouse. Maybe it’s the banter you had with a fan of the opposing team. It could be one of many concerts that came to Kansas City over the past summers: *NSYNC, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Metallica, U2, One Direction and the list goes on.
